WHAT IS A LABYRINTH?
A 1980's movie starring David Bowie? That is true. But for thousands of years before that it has been a symbol of healing, comprising an ancient geometric pattern with a single path leading to the centre and out again. Not a maze with dead-ends, tricks and walls, but a simple path.
Labyrinths have been found in many cultures all over the world and today can be found in a number of hospitals, schools, churches, parks and community spaces.

WHY WALK A LABYRINTH?
"There is always some scepticism and that's fine.......
......Nobody really knows - but it doesn't matter. It's not something that's solvable, you just walk and have it do whatever it's going to do for you on the day"
- Dr Michael Stevens, Senior Staff Specialist, Oncology Unit, Children's Hospital, Westmead NSW and labyrinth builder/walker.
